🔥 How EMBER Payouts Work
EMBEREMBER (Every Miner Banks Earned Rewards) is FenixPool's hybrid payout mechanism. When a block is found on this pool, the finder receives a tiered finder bonus, and the remainder — the embers — is distributed via EMBER's shared split to every miner who contributed shares to the recent payout window. You don't have to be connected when the block is found — if your shares are still in the payout window, you earn your slice. The finder's own shares count in that split like everyone else's: the finder receives the tier share plus their work-proportional slice of the remainder, paid together in one output, and the remainder is divided among every contributor in the payout window in proportion to their work — so nobody's expected earnings depend on who finds the block.
Rounding, stated plainly. Payouts are calculated in this coin’s smallest unit. Your slice of the embers is your work divided by the round’s total work, rounded downto a whole unit — so if your share works out to less than one unit, that block pays you nothing. There is no fraction carried forward and no balance held for you. Where that value goes depends on the round: if other miners were paid on that block it lands in the pool fee output; if the finder was the only contributor, the finder takes it. Anything that reaches one unit or more is paid in full, however small — we do not drop a payout for being under the chain’s dust threshold. In practice this means very low-hashrate devices (USB and ESP32-class lottery miners) are not effective here: on a busy pool their work never adds up to a full unit per block. They are welcome on our solo pools, where every share is a lottery ticket and nothing is split.

The active-miner count includes an address once it was first seen on this pool at least 15 minutes ago and has submitted a share within the last two minutes. It is a headcount of addresses, not a measure of work; a work-based count is planned.
