What is EMBER?

EMBER is FenixPool's hybrid payout mechanism that rewards the miner who finds a block without leaving everyone else empty-handed. When a block is found, the finder receives a tiered bonus that scales with the pool's active miner count. The remaining reward is distributed via PPLNS to every other active miner — and because the finder's own shares are excluded from that split, every non-finder ends up with a strictly larger slice than they'd get under plain PPLNS.

Only miners actively submitting shares for 15+ continuous minutes count toward the tier. No flash-connects inflating headcount.

Tier Schedule

The finder bonus changes based on how many active miners are on the pool. The smaller the pool, the bigger the finder bonus. The remainder — the embers — is shared via PPLNS across every other active miner. All percentages are of the block reward after the 1% pool fee.
